PILOTS ONLY.
Parafield aircraft parking etiquette - please park in the identified green areas.
Helicopters must not lift or land closer than the outer apron parking bays (furthest from the hangar) subject to safe proximity from other aircraft (particularly light fixed wing). Note: It is preferred that UH60 are relocated to the taxi way wherever possible.
The Duty Engineer or Maintenance Controller may be contacted prior to arrival so they can advise of preferred landing location. Engineering staff may also be requested to assist with helping move aircraft to ensure others aren’t impacted during arrival/departure.

AIRCRAFT GROUND RUNNING
Must not to be carried out past the fire hydrant (red circle) in front of the main hangar. Please go left of the hangar. The vibration causes dust to fall from the paint shop roof and has the potential to ruin paint jobs.
UH60 pilots conducting ground runs, please orientate the machine facing north so the apu exhaust outlet is facing away from the maintenance hangar. This is particularly critical when conducting just APU runs and if it can be prioritised where suitable when conducting ground runs, starting up for a hover departure and coming in the land and shutting down. If the aircraft can also be positioned on the taxiway as far from the hangar as possible wherever suitable.
