    AEROTECH SITE INDUCTION

    • EMPLOYEE SITE INDUCTION 
    • Safety Signage

      These signs exist for the safety of all persons. Please observe and obey the instructions.

    • No Smoking or Vaping

      There is strictly no smoking or vaping in any company vehicle, in or around aircraft, or within 10m of any airbase building or hangar.

      I confirm my understanding of this expectation and will respect the safety and comfort of others. 

    • Evacuation information and First Aid 

      You will find Evacuation Maps displayed around the site which identify the location of First Aid kits and other important emergency information. A copy of the Aerotech Emergency Response Plan and the Emergency Flip Chart can be found in the office.

      Names of First Aid Officers for this location can be found on the Safety Noticeboard. 

      Please familiarise yourself with these documents now.

      Should an emergency occur, please remain calm and obey the instructions from senior staff members. Using the safest most direct route, you should proceed to the Emergency Assembly Area. Once at the Assembly Area, you should wait until the visitor’s roll is called and you are noted as being present. 

    • Site Safety Meetings

      I understand that as employee I am expected to attend any toolbox meetings being held when I am on site.

    • Incidents, Risks & Hazards

      Any safety & environmental incidents, hazards, risks or injuries sustained on site, no matter how minor, must be reported to the site Manager immediately. The See Something Say Something QR code must be used to report the incident.

    • PPE & Airside security requirements

      All persons are required to wear all required PPE whilst on site and in high-risk areas (hangar, airstrip, airside, sheds etc.) this includes using hi-vis and protective clothing.

      ASIC cards must be displayed - Mt Gambier & Pt Lincoln only.

    • Restricted Areas

      These areas are identified with signage and (for your safety) access to these areas is prohibited.

    • Vehicle speed limits

      Speed limits on all bases apply. Please drive carefully and observe all signage. Forklifts have right of way over all other vehicles.

    • Vehicle parking

      Parking of cars is only permitted in the designated car park and at owner’s risk.

    • Staff amenities

      You are free to use the staff amenities, but you are required to clean up after yourself.

    • Children & Pets

      Due to the hazardous nature of our business, children and pets are not permitted airside during operations and must be accompanied by a staff member at all other times.

    • Responsibilities 

      I have been made aware of my responsibilities whilst I am on site.

    • Equipment & Tooling 

      I have received training in the use of hangar, shed and stores equipment and tools. 

    • I         confirm that I have read all of the above requirements, familiarised myself with the Emergency Response Plan and will adhere to all instructions as outlined in this Site Safety Induction.

      All visitors (including visiting contractors) are required to sign in and must return to the office to sign out prior to departing the site.

      Signing in and out is essential as it facilitates speedy evacuation of visting personnel should an emergency arise.
